With over 30 years of experience in the area of application of seismic technology to the solution of problems of exploration and characterization of oil.
Holds the degrees of B.Sc (1978), M.Sc. (1980) and Ph.D (1984) in Geophysics. from Colorado School of Mines.
Principal investigator at PDVSA-INTEVEP between 1984 and 1991, specifically in seismic reservoir characterisation projects. Full professor of seismic methods at Simón Bolívar University, Caracas, from 1990 to 2006, currently retired (but still teaching).
Technical Advisor for oil companies such as PDVSA (Venezuela), Repsol (Venezuela), ENAP (Chile), Pacific-Stratus (Colombia), OGO-PEMEX (Mexico), PETROPARS (Iran).
Instructor of several courses of professional development for the oil industry (PDVSA, Petrobras, PEMEX, PetroEcuador, ENAP, YPFB, PPL). More than 45 PIAS (integrated training programs at PDVSA-CIED, 1992-2002). Creator and supervisor of Schools for Seismic Interpreters (PDVSA-CIED,1996-2002) and 2016). Current President of Geociencias Virtuales C.A.
